Gov’t of Ghana commission the largest hospital in south sahara Africa
The government of Ghana will in August this year commission the largest medical facility in south Saharan African region.The 617-bed facility is expected to provide cutting-edge medical training for about 1,000 medical doctors, 3,000 nurses and other health professionals to improve the doctor-to-patient ratio and serve as a research centre for various health professionals.
Work on the $217-million University of Ghana Teaching Hospital (UGTH) is 85 per cent complete as at the going to press. [read more]
