WEIHAI – Urbanization is progressively developing within China and this change is a catalyst for another, high demand for commercial vehicles. The year 2011 marks the beginning of the ‘12th Five year Plan’, an outline of goals and plans set by commercial vehicle manufactures. An indicator of the growth of the commercial vehicle industry is apparent from the truck market, which is projected to reach 600 billion RMB over the next 10 years.
The 2nd Annual China Commercial Vehicle Summit took place in Shandong province, a key truck-manufacturing base in China. There were 150 attendees present, including government officials, general managers and technical directors from auto industry associations, design institutes and major heavy truck companies. They all had the desire to discuss the China’s newest industrial policies, examine domestic and overseas advanced solution applications, share best practices and develop technical partnerships
