2nd Annual India Port Expansion and Capacity Upgrading Summit, 2011
The Indian Port sector will invest US$66bn in the construction of new ports and upgrading of existing ports. The investment has been outlined for expansion or new developments of 276 ports throughout India.The second edition of India Port Expansion Summit took place on 3rd and 4th of November in Chennai, India. There were 120 attendees present, including government officials and senior level decision makers from shipping and logistics companies. All of the attendees gathered together to discuss progress in the Indian port industry as well as to discuss current trends in the shipping line and map out future trends, needs and challenges facing the port industry.
