India is growing into an automotive hub that will supply not only their growing domestic demand but also that of the developing world.
LCVs and SCVs leading the way and are to grow at a CARG of 13% until 2020. M&HCVs are currently positioning themselves to not only deal with the expected increase of local demand spurred by new infrastructure projects and increased port activities, but are also looking at how to capitalize on India’s dominance in the industry through exports.
To deal with this increase in demand, established OEMs are investing in plant expansions across India currently and new entrants are quickly developing their own plants to achieve their piece of the pie.
The 4th Annual India Commercial Vehicle Summit will bring together OEMs, Government Officials, Associations Auto Suppliers and Institutions to discuss the issues India is currently facing and to foster communications that will allow India to rightfully take it’s place as a major international automotive hub.
