TIANJIN – China is the global leader in aviation growth. Due to forecasted needs, airlines in China are expected to invest heavily in large airplane carriers and commercial airplanes. In addition China is restructuring the aircraft industry so it can expand and become globally competitive. The implementation of China's policy, "Opinions on Enhancing Development of Low-altitude Airspace Management in China", to promote the development of the general aviation industry, aircraft manufacturing industry and transportation systems is directly connected to stimulating domestic demand, expanding employment, and creating new economic growth points.
With over 140 attendees the China Aircraft Development Summit, organized by Noppen and the Management Committee of Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, was held on 2nd- 3rd, December 2010 in Tianjin, also known as 'The Aviation City'. The event was the perfect platform to enhance cooperation between civil aircraft manufacturing enterprises and European and American aircraft manufacturing suppliers. Industry experts from the Civil Aviation Administration and AVIC gathered to discuss development status and future trends of the China and global aircraft manufacturing industry, exchange the latest ideas and technologies of aircraft manufacturing, and promote the energy saving and sustainable development of the aircraft manufacturing industry.
