Asia is vastly expanding their airport infrastructure to ensure that business and leisure tourists can easily commute. This continent has always been the location for the best airports in the world and continues this trend. The Asian region is forecast as the fastest growing aviation market over the next twenty years. By 2025 Asian airports are expected to handle more than three times the volume of movements handled in 2005, with growth averaging 6 percent per annum.
Supported by The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam in conjunction with Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the South East Asia Airport Expansion Summit 2012 took place on 6-7 September 2012 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. With over 120 attendees, the event featured the most prominent industry leaders and government officials from across the globe who provided informative and inspiring discussions, tackled the best solutions to problems addressing airports with top experts and divulged new strategies and technologies that can be taken away and applied to individual airports across South East Asia.
