ISTANBUL – In Turkey, the number of hotel rooms increased 67% over the last decade. In 2009, Turkey climbed up to 15th position in relation to the tourism and travel industry revenue recorded by World Travel and Tourism Council. In addition to tourism, business and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) also made significant contribution to the increase in hotel room demand. With this increase in tourism, hotels have been expanding at a phenomenal pace across Turkey
The Turkey Hotel Expansion Summit took place on the 26-27 May 2011 in Grand Hyatt hotel, Istanbul, Turkey.
