5th Annual Wind Technology and Investment Congress
Noppen’s 5th Annual Advanced Wind Technology and Investment Congress took place on May 10th & 11th at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Shanghai, China. This congress brought together more than 120 key players to discuss the future of the Wind Power Industry and China’s role in it. The State Electricity Regulatory Commission expects big things from China; they anticipate wind power to account for more than three percent of China’s total power output by 2015. This means that China would install around 25 million KW worth of wind power and invest 34 billion USD into the wind power market yearly. As the world’s largest wind power producer, China houses 486 operational wind farms with a combined installed capacity of 39.24GW.
