3rd Annual Africa Airport Development Summit

February 19th & 20th, 2015, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

Lnoppen’s 3^rd Africa Airport Expansion Summit on February 19^th & 20^th, 2015 was held in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The conference allowed for industry experts from Africa, Asia Europe, and the Middle East to have vibrant interactions and discuss pressing regional issues.

The conference official Supporter was Tanzania Airports Authority and the Airline partner was Ethiopian Airlines.

During the two-day conference, over 20 speakers discussed and shared their visions with the delegates in numerous presentations. Discussion panels provided insight and opinions to expansion plans of airports in the region.

Mr. Bruno BOUCHER, Associate Partner at Lufthansa Consulting and Mr. Alexander HERRING, Managing Director at Safegate Germany were the chairmen of the event.

Event Speakers represented organizations such as Tanzania Airports Authority, NACL Zambia, Safegate Germany, Dubai Duty Free, ATNS, South African Civil Aviation Authority, Cyclone, Technologies, China Airport Construction Group Corporation (CACC), Aéroports de Paris group, Airport Designers and Planners (ADPI), Munich Airport Germany, COMESA, EAC and SADC Tripartite, CellComm Solutions Ltd, Netherlands Airport Consultants (NACO),Gambia Civil Aviation Authority, IATA, EGNOS AFRICA Joint Program Office (JPO), Kenya Civil Aviation Authority & Head of EAC Aviation Experts Team , Central Airspace Management Unit (CAMU) – ATNS, and Tanzania Meteorological Agency.

Attendees also heard from Swiss International Air Lines Ltd, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority & EAC Aviation Experts Team, Lufthansa Consulting, Worldwide Flight Service, and GMR Airport Developers Ltd (India).

Their presentations spoke to the heart of the main issues facing the aviation industry and insights on evaluating the progress on a unified sky as well as the airport expansion trends, opportunities, current problems and solutions given to keep developing the sector is commendable.
