For several years Latin America has positioned itself as a top destination for both business and leisure travelers, with Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Chile as the biggest growth markets and Cuba catching up fast.In Colombia the hotel sector grew with 8.4% - the highest growth figure in the past 9 years. For the coming two years 32 hotels are being built and by 2020 there are 78 new hotels in the pipeline.
