After three successful editions of the Latin America Port Expansion Summit in Mexico and Andean region of Latin America; Lnoppen will host its 4th edition in the Southern Cone: Chile.

Chile is coming back to the floorplan in terms of port investments in the region, with around 900 million USD being invested in the main terminals of the country and another 600 million USD that is being invested in design and planning studies. According to the Chilean Chamber of Construction, approx. 2 billion USD will be spent in the port sector in Chile by 2020.

At the same time other countries such as Colombia, Peru and Central America keep expanding and upgrading their terminals as well as developing plans for new ports and terminals.

At the 4th Latin America Port Expansion Summit; government officials, investors, port authorities and port & terminal operators will go in discussion with consultants, architects, construction companies, equipment providers and service groups, in order to better explore the market and support the project development.

According to the IFC & World Bank, African healthcare sector was valued USD 35 billion in 2016 and tends to increase by the projected CAGR of 6% over the forecast years. The market is anticipated to reach the valuation of USD 62 billion by 2024.

Fast growing population rates, strong urbanization trends, new and severe health challenges, an increasing middle class who is willing to pay for better treatment, are among the multiple factors stimulating the need for upgrades, expansions and construction of hospitals across the entire continent.

About US$255 billion is currently earmarked to build new airports worldwide, with another US$845 billion to be spent on upgrades such as extra runways & terminals. New airports in Asia will soak up more than US$125 Billion.

Vietnam has 23 airports, and in the Master Plan to 2020 the Government has to upgrade most of these existing airport and as well develop new airports with a total investment of USD 13,4 billion. Airport of Thailand announced to expand passenger capacity of six airport in the next 10 years. Projects are underway at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok and in Phuket with plans for the northern Chiang Mai Gateway. Singapore Changi Airport is already working on the 3rd runway and the 5th terminal due to be completed in 2030.
